#Darjeelingdiaries

hi guys,

Lo chala mei unn pahadiyon ke beech, dwarpalon swarg ke jaa kar khabar kar do,
Raste kuch seedhi kuch tedimedi,
Mantramugdh karati

The hissing sound of small train echoed my ear, and I waited for her,
it's really a heaven,
she's a desperation for a sight sore eyes,
A relief from the same daily schedule, and went straight up to the hills.

It was the month of Jan., and suddenly I called one of my batchmate that are you free? He replied that yes,I will. So, I got my bags packed, with some biscuits and muffins. No, reservation, no prebooking and boarded on a train at somewhat 9:00pm. The ordinary compartment was full of people, and there was no single leg space. I have to stand for approx 1 and 1/2 hr, till one congested seat or space be available. How I slept, it was difficult to tell, the morning I woke up and met an old guy who took VRF from his previous job and practises Organic farming in his home village. We exchanged numbers and then I left for Autostand. Hey, Gauranga, I was calling him. Actually, I was confused about Junction, is it Siliguri Junction or the NewJalpaiguri Junction. I got refreshed somehow at Siliguri Junction, still, there was a doubt. But when he told me that geographically I am right, a sense of relief was there, as the network was poor. At last, my wait was over, 'aakhir aa hi gaya'. I told him," sale itna late. Then we took a government bus and headed towards the heaven hills, Isn't it rhyming alliteration that's what we call it. It was a day of republic, the whole city was decorated. I heard some patriotic songs, and saw some children in uniforms marching with passion. We crossed the chowk and entered into the defence area. The tea garden seemed as if someone had put a green mat. Then came the turns some U-type, some zig-zag, roads and the mountains, after 40 min at 10:30 am, we took a tea break. Then through twists and turns, hills beautifully carved roads, we reached Darjeeling at 12:05 pm. We booked a lodge and got ready for local sightseeing, the Hill park, Tea garden, Bethnic school, Tenzing climbing and bought some well seasoned tea leaves. wow what an aroma it spreaded. Then, we visited the Japanese temple, and we took the small drum kept for us and went with the beat mentored by the Priest. So, much peace was it. At evening, we planned to go to market, but it was cancelled. so, then we returned.
